Really? I have made him Acceleration 86 and Sprint Speed 86. I think he should be higher, but I'm afraid to make him any quicker in case i get thousands of "ffs you edit stats that's the only reason you win you ***". I reckon he should be Acceleration 87 Sprint Speed 88. That fair enough?
I've not been too impressed with his speed to be honest. If it was athletics, he would be a better 400/800m runner than 100m
Are you joking? I know he doesn't use his speed well most of the time, he bottles the chance to challenge players, but when he does run, he's fast as hell.
It is probably because he doesn't use his speed well, but from watching him, playrs like Walcott and Lennon always look faster.
Jonas IMO has to be an 80 now on Fifa. I've gone through all his stats, and the one way I can make him go back down to a 79 is if i take away one the abilities i know he has in real life, which would be unrealistic. Jonas is an 80
Obertan scares me with how fast he is, there are players in the game who have 99 pace, he should be a 92 minimum.

I think you're getting a bit carried away mate. I'd say 88 sprint speed for him. He's not quite into the 90's. Assou Ekotto is faster than Ober is, and Ekotto is just in the 90's i think. Ober is extremely fast but he needs to learn to use his speed better and also to deliver more consistently.
It doesnt matter how he uses it, I'm talking about how fast he is. He covers ground at a phenomenal rate, Bale and that 5 foot 5 Wigan winger were both some way ahead of him in the respective games and he caught them easily.
I wasn't using that point about using his pace to counter your argument, i was just making a general point about him. He's faster than a lot of people give him credit for, but we don't get to see it often enough because he doesn't challenge full backs enough. So i agree with you to an extent, that Ober is faster than given credit for. It's like when people misjudge little, nippy players and think that they're fast sprinters, when really their legs are just moving quickly. I know it's about how much ground you cover is a certain amount of time, and taller players will take less strides to cover the ground, which sometimes tricks people into thinking they're slow. I think Sammy is much faster than some people think he is. He's 6ft 4 and he doesn't take many steps but he covers ground at a great rate. Anyways, I don't think Ober is as fast as Bale, i just think Bale wasn't going at full pelt at the time. Santon was able to keep up with Bale at that point but i don't think Santon is as fast as Bale. If it was a 100m sprint i think Bale would just edge it. I get what your saying but sometimes just because you catch a player doesn't mean you, at your fastest, would be able to beat him at his fastest, as players don't always run their max speed. Bale is a monster when running his full speed. Watch the Inter 4-3 Spurs highlights, and I'm pretty sure you see Bale at his max speed. He outpaced the Inter team with ease. Ober 88. It's hard to judge, but I'll show you. Make Ober a 90 for sprint speed, and he looks far too fast than what he actually is. You need to see how the stat effects the game.
I feel like i'm massively over rated our players I have Obertan with 96 speed! Colo as 84 overall, Cabaye 83, Jonas 82...i forget the rest. The thing is, i've been told by a friend who has live season that Colo went up to 86 after just the Arsenal game. Christ knows how good he is now!
Sometimes overall ratings mean **** all. It's how effective players are. That's why i think it's silly when we say "that overall rating is too high for that player". It's not about the overall rating, it's about the specific stats.
