The attendance was announced as 10,029. According to the pundit chappie on Blunder there were far less than that. 5k at best...An hardcore 1.5k by the time the final hooter sounded.
The inflated attendance figure is a classic Pearson tactic when he is trying to big up the club and attract a buyer or more investment. He did it with us. The SMC will know exactly how many where there yesterday and how many actually paid. The RL club and game are broke, there is no money to be made in it. Fear is, Pearson will be itching to get Acun and his team involved in Fc somehow, not forgetting their lease is up in three years time. I'd also take a punt that the council are a little concerned about them too and would like to involve the Turks in bailing out Fc in any way they can. The Allams would have none of that hence the frosty relationship between Fc, HCC and City, I hope Acun and his team are aware of this.
A commentator on the effcee game said, did they count the tickets twice, because if there’s 10,000 here today, there must have been 20,000 at some games.
I've never known the local BBC radio commentators questioning the attendance before. Only to say how big the crowd was or was going to be in the days of David Doyle Davidson as though it was the most thrilling spectacle on earth, a bit like Burnys and Swanny in that respect. Every match was going to be a classic with a great atmosphere and huge crowd and he described everything breathlessly. But I do remember those days, and them claiming we only got a decent crowd when people came to see the opposition, not us.
Yes, 18,000 at a City game was a worrying sight looking at a stadium one third empty whilst FC playing in front of 16,000 was a game played in a packed KC according to the HDM.
It was a 'passionate crowd' though at Fc according to Hull Live, before they had even kicked off. Complete with a photo of the stadium with about 200 people in it.
Sir Adam caught coaching on camera shouting get him off about a young kid who failed to score, wasn’t a good look according to the Tubby lards
Our kid met a bird on tinder. Profile pic looked like Pamela Anderson. Reality was she looked more like Knocker Norton. She supported Rervers too. When the time came to dip his candle he closed his eyes and thought of The Boulevard.
Apparently their pivots were crap according to one of their fans. As we all know from reading on here if you don’t get your pivots sorted you have problems.
What was the attendance? I'll guess 12k. Same attendance as Hull vs Batley in the glory days when they had to close the gates at the boulevard when the 'I was there' crowd showed up. Edit....it might have been Huyton or bramley.
The had two sub 900 crowds. One was Huyton, can’t remember the other one. 9,165 there last night. Allegedly…
All set up nicely for the world famous and beyond biggest derby in the world and beyond, in this divided City ( they love their rugby league in Hull) your either black and white or red and white, etc etc in a couple of weeks time. The mighty black and whites v the beasts from the East, erm, HKR. Two clubs with **** all to play for both in the bottom four of a 12 club league, and for some reason, live on SKY ( unless it's been pulled for live wrestling from Madley Street Baths). Roll up, no pun intended, roll up.
