Brilliant example was Bristol Rovers at home last season, he was rubbish for the whole game and then made that majestic run through their defence and smashed it into the corner, what an important goal that was!
I do think Guly's finishing has gone up a notch this season. Yes he missed that hattrick chance on Saturday, and yes he missed an opportunity late on to make it 2-0 vs West Ham, but he has tucked some away quite nicely too. His first against Boro, the winner against Millwall, the standing-still-side-footer against (I think) Watford. Last season he was missing some quite dreadful chances.
As they've been offering specials, I would guess that they suspect it's going to be a low gate. Also depends on P'boro..does anyone know there normal away numbers?
Agreed. His first against Boro on Saturday was majestic. He just stooped his head, and directed it right smack into the triangle of the top corner. On another subject, a brilliant cross by Butterfield. Christ, that bloke can pass.
I don't think it's a lack of respect we have beaten Leeds, Birmingham, West Ham, Nott Forrest, Watford, Middlesbrough and Millwall all at home this season, I don't think I have missed anyone out. We played Watford just before the international break at home and won 4-0. You have just played them away and lost 3-2. So on that basis alone I think the minimum saints will score will be 4 goals, you might score 1 but don't count on it. COYR
We must start as we mean to go on..too easy to let them score early and then play catch-up. Remember the game at Reading came after the great result against West Ham.
The Referee isn't the best around http://rateyourref.co.uk/referee/Gavin-Ward seems to be a bit inconsistent. Hope he gets it right tonight.
3 changes tonight. My guess would be Richardson, Schneiderlin and Connolly in for Butterfield, Guly and one of the CM's (obviously).
I have had a bet of 5-1 with Jose to score first .....odds on Ladbrokes online 475-1 it was worth a cheeky pound!
That's being called a Saints fan, with what we have been through in the past We are always thinking something bad will happen.
