could JONATHAN MOSS pick a more unexperienced set of officials for this game FFS Referee: Jarred Gillett. (only 10 premier league games and 2 of them was with us - had just as many VAR games last season for us than actual refffing premier games in total) Assistants: Lee Betts, Ian Hussin. Fourth official: Tony Harrington. (only 2 premier league games and 1 was with us) VAR: Peter Bankes. (13 premier league games and 2 was with us -- does a lot more VAR work than reffing) Assistant VAR: Marc Perry
Tony Harrington and Peter Bankes sound like a couple of nice retired grandfathers from the west country who like country walks and the odd pint in their local. Jarred Gillett though, that's a ****ing name, sounds like a galactic space avenger with deadly ninja skills and supernatural powers.
They probably use City games against lower opposition to train the less experienced ones. If they make few mistakes it doesn’t matter as the opposition won’t complain about a **** decision or two when they lose 5-0 any mistakes against City is just like handicapping them a bit anyway.
Tony Harrington is from Artlepool Jarrad Gillet is a native from Austrailia Peter Bankes is a Scouser raised on broth all with very limited experience in the premier - basically they are championship refs - fast tracked I expect that we see a lot of these 3 in different permutations this season
Calling it now - Howe to recognize City's inverted fullbacks and play a 5-4-1 diamond, changing to a 3-4-2-1 in attack. Botman vs Haarland will be tasty! --------------Pope ------Schar Botman Burn Trippier-----Bruno ------Targett --------Willock - Joelinton --------------Almiron ---------------Wilson
.................Pope...Dubs.... ......Schar..Lascelles..Botman..Burn Tripp...........Joelinton.........Targett .....................Bruno ....................Wilson Sacrifice Lascelles by taking out Haaland and De Bruyne as they line up in the tunnel.
Oh... so finally people are coming around to the idea that we need to ****ing drop ASM for this game as he'll be absolutely useless!!!!! ----------------------Wilson--------------------- Almiron----------------------------------Murphy ---------Joelinton-Bruno--Willock--------- Targett-----Burn------Schar-------Trippier ----------------------Pope------------------------- I don't think we want to be playing 5 at the back tbh. We just need 5 hard working midfield players to not allow city to settle. Sitting playing 5 at the back is basically just waiting for the inevitable. I'd play Murphy as he's got defensive quality, and is capable of bagging an assist and is useful on the break with pace. We need our fullbacks to be covered properly, so 5-3-2 doesn't work IMO.
Anyone out and about this Sunday before the game , for a pint or 2 Remember I'm T total and will remember what happens and will tell all
