At least two people were feared dead and five others seriously injured last night after an elaborate goal celebration by Arsenalââ¬â¢s Andre Arshavin went tragically wrong. After grabbing a late winner against Barcelona, the striker joined teammates in forming a human pyramid in front of celebrating supporters while waving blazing distress flares above their heads. But within seconds the human pyramid was seen to collapse into the crowd and erupt in a ball of flame. ââ¬ÅIt was a bloodbath,ââ¬Â said Arsenal fan Colin Briggs, 35, who witnessed the carnage. ââ¬ÅWhich was a pity because it all seemed to be going well initially. Very distasteful. We have to remember dozens of fans of other clubs may have cut their wrists, after watching us in the best football match for years. Envy is a powerful thing.
Yeah but that match was against us in 2009. I think they'll be over your 3-1 humiliation at home by now...
Still feel bad for that poor scouser who at half time in champions league ( loosing 3-0 at half time) went back to his hotel and launched himself out of the window. Gutted (liverpool came back to 3-3 and won on penaltys )
It's a shame you find this issue funny, you wouldn't be laughing if someone who you knew died at this moment, would you?
Via a human pyramid? As for knowing people who have died, I've known my fair share thanks. Doesn't make it taboo to joke about death.
