I think it depend's how bad Ali's hammer is. If we sign Pelkas, get Longman and Sinik back and Ali is only a few weeks then I suspect Wilks and Randell will be going, along with Smith. That said, Wilks did OK. They all did.
Great point tonight. Allyhar's injury opens an opportunity for Wilkes or Williams if they want to grab it. New signings and players coming back from injury will see us have a much stronger bench soon - UTT!
Same old story…and I’m very happy with that! We dug deep to grind out the result. I’ll take that at this stage of the season when we haven’t quite got up to match fitness yet. The potential for this team is huge. Tufan looked amazing again. Clearly a class above anyone on the pitch. Although you could see Slater wanted that limelight too. I think we might have a rising star in him. Having such quality players around him will only help that development.
Another decent point. Another team that will go away thinking they should have won. Not particularly nice to watch was it? But a point's a point. Long may it continue.
I think Tetteh looks a dead tidy player. Big, strong, fast, has a good touch and can pick a pass. Gets himself involved a lot too. I think he has looked better than Allahyar.
They had all the possession of the ball but on the balance of quality, dangerous attacks? This wasn’t like Preston or Norwich, where we gave away a glutton of easy chances and survived by the mercy of poor finishing. We made it difficult for Burnley tonight.
I think Allahyar’s injury was purely down to him going from pressing at a jogging pace for most of the game to then sprinting full throttle for a ball. It’s probably due to him being young and full of energy but he could learn to better pace himself to avoid tears like that in the future.
I’ve hardly seen anything this season so far apart from highlights so I’m going on those, stats, and match reports. How are we all feeling about the fact that we’re clearly getting dominated but still pulling out results? Is it a case of we’re getting away with it and our luck will run out? Or the more optimistic view that we haven’t gelled yet and we’re still pulling out results, once gelled we will be much better therefore put in the performances to go with the results? Genuine question as like I said I haven’t seen enough to properly judge.
Definitely more the latter I would say. Defended well tonight, best we've defended all season. Could have won it with more composure. Need reinforcements/players back from injury obviously but hopefully that isn't too far away.
