pretty much the same thing i would say, but as you did it then i expect it has to be fine...you see, there are more than one type of 'extreme view' but it seems it is only not good if aimed at certain races.

i never said that at all...you see, this is what happens when people do not say exactly what they mean or feel, things can get crossed. rather like saying certain people might just be doing something or saying something that might just make them a little racist or sexist, ageist or whatever 'ist'...unless someone spells it out then one can never be sure and should not throw accusations around no matter how they try to hide it and no matter how they word it so as to make sure they do not accuse anyone directly.
I’m pretty much always honest. I think this lot of Conservatives in power are racist and discriminatory in a number of ways for popularity points and we’re not short of evidence. It’s a populist intolerant anti liberal far right party. Never been this bad. Always elitist class wise and financially but it’s worse now. There are many reasons for voting out of Europe, some on the left not liking the market or trade deal, some democratic reasons ie wanting more local control (I’d argue there’s less) but I think an unhealthy many did it to stop black, brown and muslim people ‘invading our country’. The campaign featured financial lies but worse posters full of brown and black people marching towards what in truth was another country in a style used by Nazi’s and what followed was a prolonged spike in racial and religious hate crime in the style of ‘go back to where you came from’. Similar to the one after Johnson called burkha wearers letter boxes. People who support the Rwanda scheme don’t have my respect. Yes I think people on this thread have an irrational fear of foreigners (unless they’re Ukrainian) Hope that makes it clear.
You are generalising with that post, aren't you? That was my point, there's nothing specific about a poster on this thread showing blatant racism. It's just different viewpoints to yourself about immigration and you're using that to imply people who think differently to yourself are displaying racism. I'll say it, again. Nobody is pointing the finger at you for your hatred towards the Jewish community. You haven't displayed any but the people who think similar to yourself often do.
I think there are many anti semitic comments from the far left and loads of barmy conspiracies about plots funded by Jews. It’s wrong and ridiculous. It’s also racist. I think hatred towards immigrants is wrong, treating them like invaders, criticising them for wanting a better life, thinking it’s ok to send them to a country with questionable human rights is xenophobic. They are people. IF we redistribute the astronomical wealth we have to help other humans but can’t help any more or can’t give them a better life with what we have we need to restrict movement. IF some of those individuals behave immorally or criminally (like Prince Andrew , some politicians, some football fans, some liberals etc) then they deserve to be dealt with using the rule of law.
see, i agree with most of that (note: i am agreeing with what you are saying not the 'sentiment') apart from the usual rhetoric of 'all racists vote leave' which i consider bollox, i will not disagree that racists will have jumped on anything to stop immigration but it was used as a stick to batter people with to the point that many voted 'stay' as they did not want to be hit with a racist slur, or so i think ( i may be well wrong as you may be thinking along the other lines or either of us may be correct). so, unless someone decides to go out and interview everyone who voted in the referendum and asks them that specific question and they all answered completely honestly we will never know so probably best not presume, you also seem to have it that everyone thinks we are being invaded. i have seen a few facebook memes suggesting that but honestly cannot think of actually hearing it from any person i know, i feel the word is sometimes used well out of context and some really should think before they post such crap...i also think the 'spike' you speak of was more down to the BLM brigade, i have no idea who the feck they were but i am honestly pleased they appear to have faded away, there is no room for ANY extremism.
The spike was a very Brexit thing, there was stuff after BLM later. My work in part is about monitoring tension using data and responding. It was worrying. On the invasion thing I said I ‘get the sense’ so it’s my opinion, but in part it’s fuelled by Farages poster which said just that and only had black and brown faces. People used the phrases from the poster on graffiti, similar to the language Johnson used towards Burkha’s.
if people will look at a poster and think 'he is right we are being invaded' then i would rather they were the ones sent to rwanda as they clearly do not have the sense to help this country in any way, unlike a lot of the immigrants they want to turn away. told this story in more detail before, i had a mate who became a born again christian which is fair enough but once he started ..well, i can only call it 'being extreme' i had to call it a day yet the same lad would be one i would choose to stand beside me in the trenches, great lad but once his views became rancid it was no good.
Speak for yourself. I had colds beans on bread for tea tonight. Seriously, though, I think a lot of what you're seeing is people genuinely worrying about how immigration is going to effect their child's school placing, or their waiting time at the doctor's, or future employment, housing etc. I can see why you see it as 'anti foreigner'but these are legitimate concerns.
I fully agree why - also safety - I just think they’re looking for blame in the wrong places. Waiting times as an example are probably increased by the new rules on immigration ie medical staff. Language difficulties in some schools is a challenge but with legitimate migration one that’s tough to sort. More mothers doing English may ge the answer. Many want it but it’s been cut. Pressure on children over qualification levels of often due to fear of poverty.
Perhaps like her glorious leader Bonko failing to turn up for cobra meetings about the threat of Covid and taking rather a lot of holidays ?
