Or doing away with, l think there are 800 in the house of Lords. Not sure how much a day they get, was £300 that £240,000 and 1.2 m a week. It's obscene
Because they’re Sunderland fans some of whom are clearly against the immigration of balance and Asian people to the uk so they have something in common
Which ones are illegal ? Do you mean the ones who claim asylum but fail and stay ? https://www.refugeecouncil.org.uk/information/refugee-asylum-facts/the-truth-about-asylum/
From a poster who has I think gone to be fair, though he’s been blocked. But also I think the policy of allowing war torn Ukrainians and paying for them to be here and not Afghans is probably based on the fact that we don’t want too many Muslims and people on here back it.
Then by that logic, over 70% of people attempting to cross the channel in small boats aren't illegal immigrants and the other 20% plus are not illegal unless they attempt to remain after their application has been refused.
That has already been debated and explained. We'd just be going round in circles going over it again. I don't see anything on here suggesting people are against Muslims/Asians.
It's a grey area in law. international law states that anyone can seek asylum in any country they choose. We have closed most of the safe corridors of passage and the recognised methods that a refugees can claim asylum in the UK. People who cross the channel in small boats are seeking asylum by the only route left to many of them. Technically they are only illegal if they land on our beaches. If they land at a port or are taken to a port after they are intercepted they are not illegal and are processed as if they arrive by any other route. Even if they land on a beach they are still processed if they request asylum. We only tend to prosecute the facilitators and the pilots of the small boats. The passengers are rarely if at all prosecuted, so no they aren't entering the country illegally, but they are entering by an illegal or unrecognised route.
I don't know what you are getting at Rooch, anyone is entitled to seek asylum in any country in the world. Those crossing the channel on small boats obviously have chosen to seek asylum in the UK. It's their choice, as are the risks they take
