I just noticed that Gilmour is not making the Chelsea squad and apparently been told to find a new one - with nobody clearly interested so far
West Ham media are reporting Emmanuel Longelo is expected to leave the club shortly on loan. Longelo is a left back. 2+2=.....?
Is anyone hearing any rumours on a striker/forward we're bringing in? Surely we're not going to be relying on an aging & inconsistent Pukki, Hugill who's never scored many & Idah (who sorry I don't rate) ???
Don't forget Sargent! I don't think it's likely to happen, Pukki is still on £50k p/w, Idah is really highly rated at the club if he could just stay fit long enough to show it. Somewhat amazed the links to Aston Villa's trio of young strikers never amounted to a loan, but I think we'd have at least had a strong rumour about interest in a forward by now if the club had any intention of looking at one.
That's the sort of move which seems likely. Here's his Wiki profile: "Born in England, Longelo is of Congolese descent. Longelo's older brother, Rosaire, played alongside him at West Ham, before joining Newcastle United. Longelo started playing Sunday league football as a nine-year old for Euro Dagenham. He joined West Ham United’s under-10 side playing as a midfielder and scored five goals on his debut against Chelsea. Due to his pace he was moved to play as a striker. Playing for West Ham’s under-23 team, Longelo played as a left-back. On 21 September 2020, Longelo made his debut for West Ham in a 5–1 EFL Cup win against Hull City." An attacking LB, he can also play at LCM or on the left wing. Sounds like someone Webber could have on his list. Edit: If true, it may depend on whether the Hammers are successful in signing Emerson from Chelsea.

He looked promising at the start but was never fully fit , seemed a bit of a poser too . I prefer what we have now
This sounds good to me, given the number of injuries our defenders seem to have: "He can play a multitude of positions, including as a left winger and as a central defender if required." Another option at LCB would be a great bonus.
Cande plays for the Guinea-Bissau national team so may not be available in March 2023 due to AFCON. I don't know if I want anymore AFCON conflicts.
Any more? What others are there CS? I can see that it isn't ideal but we should have Giannoulis and McCallum available then.
Didn't we lose Mbokani a few years ago to AFCON? I could be wrong, but it seems like we lost him in January one year when we could have used him. A year later the AFCON was moved to summertime to avoid conflicts with European seasons, then it was moved back to winter/spring for some reason.
They have 2 games in March 2023. I agree Gianni and McCallum should be back by then and it may not be an issue.
I prefer McLean at left back than the left backs or him in midfield. Face it he will never be dropped as he's our Star man .
