Sharp not playing again so missed a chance to do us a favour by beating West Ham. May be reading too much in to it..he could just be injured.
Vokes is just not very good, he's a player a lot of people seem to think is though. Jackson I've never been a massive fan of but he's not terrible, just not the kind of player we should be looking at if we want to build a PL squad. Jay Rod would be excellent, very good player who will only improve. Billy Sharp the same but with less room for improvement. Austin is a good player, finding his feet in the CL this season, would be worth a look. CMS joined Brighton too recently, same for Graham at Swansea.
Donny are playing Boro tonight. West Ham have a seemingly straight forward home game vs Bristol City.
Just been discussing with my West Ham mate as to which of us will score the most goals tonight. Can see us both easily hitting 4.
Am I the only one concerned about Sharp and Maynard's injury history? I like my strikers on the pitch rather than the treatment table. Let's not forget though that Adkins plucked Gary Hooper and Martin Paterson from virtually nowhere, played a big part in improving Billy Sharp and had faith in Jermaine Beckford when he was a reserve at Leeds. Nigel and our excellent network of scouts can spot potential. Of the big names, I'd go for Jay Rod on the basis of him being a good team player. Austin is way too selfish. Being a team player is a pre-requisite for me. We can't afford to carry a striker who is purely in it for the glory, at least not if we want to play Adkins' brand of football.
Sharp's two day old son died at the weekend. Minute's applause for him tonight at the Doncaster game, with Billy leading it.
