We should be doing these mid-table teams at a canter.

Burnley were listed 2nd out of a list of 92 respective Football League clubs with the most rivals

Prince Charles is a Burnley fan.

Burnley only adopted their famous claret-and-blue strip in 1910, a homage to the great Aston Villa side of the day. Prior to that, they had turned out in a selection of kits, ranging from green to black and amber.

Burnley has the highest ratio of home attendances per head of population than any other club in Britain, the Clarets often get crowds in excess of 9,000 despite there being only 6,500 officially on the electoral role, the only town that comes close is Guildford were 97% of the population are Man Utd season ticket holders, which means they have more reds than all the hotels in Portugal.

The river Brun is the shortest river in Britain and runs through Burnley and is where the place name stems from.

Burnley are the only club to have been managed by an eight year old chimney sweep. - http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Burnley

Burnley Miners' Social Club sells more Benedictine than any other hostelry in Britain. Burnley buys roughly one in every three bottles sold in the UK.

Burnley has a singing ringing tree.

The straight mile, in Burnley is considered one of the 7 wonders of the British water way system.

Burnley are one of only three teams to have won all four divisional titles, The other two are: <spoiler> Wolves and Preston.</spoiler>

Only Preston have occupied the same ground for longer than Burnley, who moved into Turf Moor in 1883.

Burnley's 30-match unbeaten run in 1921 stood as the longest stretch without defeat in league history until Arsenal bettered it – managing a whole season without loss – in 2003-04.

Burnley have won every major competition in English football except the League Cup.

Bit of perspective needed; we've only won twice all season and those games were against the teams which occupy the bottom two places in the division.

Our current goal tally away from home is a big fat zero.

For goals we're relying on deflections, own goals and defensive errors.

'Tis easy to turn positives into negatives if you're that way inclined.

3-0 City and reclaim the top spot.

Proof from DMD that Burnley is a village, if there are only 6,500 on their electoral role (sic) I'm George Bingham. :emoticon-0100-smile

Far too many on here getting giddy after the Norwich game. If it wasn't for their ****show of a defence, we wouldn't have had a shot on target all day.

Not looking forward to this one.

    2-0.

This Burnley side don’t seem to have any cutting edge. I think we can beat them, 2-1 City.

Hoping for the best, but lack of depth really showed yesterday. We were cruising, then we lost all control when Shota had to make changes. With only 3 days to rest, and Seri being out, I don't see City pulling through this one. Either a draw or 3-1 Burnley for me.
When are Sinik and Longman coming back?

Head says Burnley win. Heart says City.

Like others have said, we looked shaky when Shota switched to 5 at the back.

You've got to be in the right place to take the chances when they come and we've soarly missed someone with that knack for quite a few seasons now. Long may it continue.
