He's been a revelation so far playing down both left and right sides. His link up play with both our new fullbacks has been almost telepathic. His run and cross from the right with his "wrong foot" yesterday made our only goal and he could easily have had a couple himself but for some deperately good luck for Brum.

As you say time will tell, but I can only speak for what I've seen so far and that's been as good as it get's from any new player.

Plenty on here wasn’t keen on him.. I actually thought he was a decent player for us, maybe your manager gets the best from the players..:emoticon-0103-cool:

Well he certainly demands it but in Morison's case, without the threat of violence.......<laugh>

For us talented, worked hard, but tended to run down blind alleys and no end product. It always felt he was due to “kick on” but never did. Injuries didn’t help, and believed to be on high wages. In the end a move was in best interest of both parties. I hope for his sake he manages to keep up the good start, but has a stinker and scores 2 own goals against us.

RR - didn't follow him at all when he was with you and his "injury prone" history. He obviously wasn't rated sufficiently enough by Pearson to retain.

That may eventually tell us more about Pearson's ability as a manager rather than O'Dowda's as a player.

More to do with reducing wage costs, he’d also stagnated here, as I previously said best for both parties, he needed a new challenge, we needed to reduce wages .

Nah, he’s had several here, the same result with each. It’ll be interesting to see how long his good spell lasts. Flatter to deceive sums him up.

has made a couple of errors already a manager should always ignore personal feelings NP doesnt seem to fall into that category....
On his own admission when he dumped the players after his disasterous first 13 [15] games didnt really get to assess them or they didnt seem to fit his "idealism .. which is currently we musnt win win games

To be fair John, he was probably instructed to get rid of him (and Pato) to save wages.

Questions I ask myself are ... were they replaced [ positional ] I know for a fact that one or 2 of the players in the wages "tables were wrong " so fair to say COD & JP were as well! So new players gained need to be paid but how much was the cost ... bear in mind new players always attract a fee to be paid and "relocation expense" Both players were wide players both not able to show their best as left after having missed out via injury periods interrupted their seasons ... NP has stated he is the "manager" as opposed to a coach, but also stated he doesnt mind either title ... !!!!
