It is hard to imagine having to get anywhere close to that release clause given he has one year left on his contract. Assuming he isn’t signing a new one - and if he does that clause goes up anyway Transfermarkt have him valued at 900k. Don't Spanish clubs insert stupid release clauses into a player's contract? For example, Pedri's is 1bn Euros! Obviously that is never, ever going to be met but there must be a reason why these clauses which are miles, miles higher than what the player is worth are included in contracts.
It is because they legally have to have them. So for cases where they really don’t want them activated they make them absurd. Even more so in Barca’s case after PSG actually paid Neymar’s
