Look at the image you’ve got. Says it all. You didn’t offend me at all. You highlighted your lack of brain cells. Some of the xenophobic comments in this thread are saddening. Not your puerile ‘joke’. Must do better.
Read that back to yourself. People who stay to fight won't be coming, but yes, I think all men of fighting age should stay and fight. Countries in Europe tend to do it so we aren't being hypocrites here.
Do you think the Afghans who fought with us should have stayed to fight? I’m trying to understand what you’re saying but I think you’re saying we should take Ukrainians who don’t fight but not take people from other continents who don’t fight? Don’t you think we should help anyone who is stuck in a war zone or in places where there are human rights abuses or genocide ? Are you saying any man who’s what- soft because they don’t stay and fight/ die - should be banned from the uk? i don’t know if I’m not getting it or it’s a bizarre belief system you’ve got about people who flee conflict zones.
Stop trying to exaggerate what I'm saying, pal. I'm not calling anybody 'soft'. I've never said I think we should take Ukrainian men of fighting age, if they're able. We are taking their women and children which is the right thing to do for every human being from any and every country on Earth. Who would the Afghan men be staying to fight against exactly? The war is over.
This might help you understand my point about Afghanistan and why Afghan men may understandably travel outside of the agreement https://amp.lbc.co.uk/news/hostage-...es-are-left-to-the-mercy-of-taliban-and-isis/ I can’t get my head around the fact that you think men should just stay and fight. We should take no men of fighting age. They can be tortured, made hostage. Would you just stay to be tortured?
I'm not being funny mate but what do you think happens during conflict? That's the harsh reality of it. As for the Afghan men who fought with us (I hadn't seen that part), they were on our side on the battlefield and we got out of there so yeah they come with us. I don't think I'll be changing my opinion on men of fighting age should stay to fight a war.
You are missing the main vital point, they haven’t been excluded up to now, after going to Rwanda and failing entry that will get back to other illegal immigrants, and that’s the deterrent.
But seriously, what does happen next. Unless it's worse than where they fled from it's not a deterrent.
Be honest, haven’t got a clue, but know they shouldn’t be stopping here because they want a better life, there are plenty of people already here who could do with a better life and they aren’t getting it.
I would think it’s quite easy to say that seeing as they aren’t doing it. I will bet any money it does if they take all who fail and put them in the Sahara desert.
That literally couldn’t happen. People are stoned to death and lose their hands in Saudi. If the detergent worked nobody would be stoned to death or lose their hands.
Tell me why you have an issue with people travelling to find a better life. The country is full of north easterners who moved for better paid work. I personally know people who’ve moved to work in Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin, Dubai and Dublin. Other nations. Some who work there then come home then go back to get round the post Brexit rules. I don’t see them as foreign invaders. I see them as my mates. They tend to hang out with other Brits in gangs and don’t always stuck to the rules.
