Sure there might be a fee calls for this chap to return ! https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/matej-vydra-burnley-transfer-news-24675375.amp
A currently injured Burnley cast-off with a patchy scoring record and who only ever seemed to thrive in partnership with Deeney? No thanks.
Who nevertheless scored the best goal I have EVER seen (2013 vs Leicester in Play off semifinal) and another one in the same match even though a fortunate breakaway goal took all the headlines. However, everything else you say is correct !
I agree, that was a cracking goal that no one seems to remember. I would be prepared to take a punt on him, but it depends on his injury and who else comes and goes.
A lot of people go on about Van Basten’s goal as the greatest goal ever, but Vydra’s was technically far more difficult.
Today Cucho Hernandez scored his fifth goal (in six matches) for Columbus Crewe and also hit the bar with a shot. Columbus Crewe won 3-2 against New York City (who are in second place in the Eastern Conference). Columbus Crewe have now risen to fifth position. Cucho took his goal well, but not impressed by the quality of defending for some of the other goals in the game.
Sounds like Tufan scored again - or did he? Hit a shot which the keeper touched onto the bar but then rebounded in off the poor chap.
He must have impressed - has signed a two year contract. Mind you, having seen them play this season it wouldn't be too hard to impress.
I think Andre Gray did the same for Aris against Stipe Perica's M. Tel Aviv - although I'm not sure if Perica got off the bench.
Masina equalised for Udinese against AC Milan - with an assist by Pereryra. Not doing Udinese much good though - 4-2 behind now, with about 5 minutes left.
Dan Phillips made his St Johnstone debut this afternoon - coming on in the 7th minute of their 4-0 loss to Rangers. A tough place to make your debut, but Saints manager described his performance as "extremely encouraging"
