Direct quote of Barnes shouting at the referee, on being called offside:
“How? Oh, **** off, man!” Right in the ref’s face.

The referee has to establish control. Several times when he’s attempted to talk to players, they’ve walked away feigning indignant attitude. And the ref is just swallowing it. Burnley have flown in a number of times. Barnes took out Sierralta, making sure to put his hands and fingers in Sierralta’s face, to try and get a reaction. Then Barnes throws his hands up when ref gives a free-kick.

That said, I’ll do a Brer Rabbit (he lay low) given the penalty they should’ve had. ;)

Doesn’t seem up to English pace yet.

It was well taken, yes, Mark. How many times do we see those skyed? A bit like Sarr’s earlier effort.

Yes, he looks a lot happier not playing as a wing back.He was good in the last season when we got promotion.
Hopefully the change to a back 4 will be permanent

I think I am right in saying Bachmann has not had to make a save yet - long may it continue.

Good save by Bachmann - must be his first of the game.

Barnes subbed off - probably much to Sierralta's relief.
