On Thursday evenings I go to a place close to Cheddar gorge about a mile up one of the path's linked to the west Mendip way. Usually get back to gorge, vehicle parked there, then drive to Priddy as i drove off a tawny owl flew straight down the gorge as I was driving up it straight at my windscreen got about 4 + secs worth of it and it swooped over the roof .... magic moments happen, occassionally! as I came out the top of the gorge the Penhill mast lights come into view then .. W O W the moon sprung into view a massive reddish pink orb [ wish I had stopped and took a pic, had camera!!!!!!! ] Seen them before but each has its own magic whether tonight will be a second chance? ... it was about 2120 last evening ....

Spectacular wasn’t it, helped by extremely clear skies enabling many of us the opportunity to view it.
