Afternoon all

I find it strange that we have needed a new attacker or striker for several seasons, I blamed Bielsa for probably turning them all down but here we are with what seems like an all our eggs in one basket scenario as we chased CDK for far too long yet not a single fan believed he would sign.

The early transfer business was great, but we've come to an abrupt halt. It seemed we were making the signings we did with the assumption we would lose one star player but to sell both and go quiet on the transfer front is bizarre.

I haven't been through the other PL squads but I bet there isn't a single team with less strikers than us

But surely it makes sense to ask the player are you interested, no then move on. CDK said no on day one, nearly a whole month later we gave up on him. Orta is paid a lot, we have a large scouting network and we can’t find a striker in four years? Well excluding the one we did find Augustin

Because I’m a cynic and don’t believe anything anyone in “power” in a situation tells me, I wonder if this was all a smokescreen to pacify the supporters and the money isn’t really there. From day one he / his agent said he had no interest in joining Leeds.

 

Give Firpo 10 games? I gave him a full year. He was **** throughout.

He managed half a game in a friendly and is injured already. We will be lucky to get 10 games out of the lazy bastard with all the injuries and suspensions.

 

Paddy, forshaw, Cooper are all crocks based on that so do you suggest binning them all? Not saying he’ll succeed but we had many more useless performers last season

 

At least we got rid of that lazy bastard Phillips, who only had 1 game more than Firpo last season.

 

I’d definitely offload Forshaw, had next to nothing out of him for the wages paid.

Mate, I've been saying for weeks that we need to get a better left back and a 9 in case Paddy gets crocked again.

Cooper and Forshaw aren't much of an issue as we are well covered by others in those areas. We have Llorente, Koch, Struijk, Hjelde, Ayling who can play centre half if we are down to the bare bones. We have Aaronson, Rodrigo, Greenwood, Adams, Roca, Gyabi, Struijk, Koch, Klich who can play CM instead of Forshaw.

We have one poor performing left back and one injury prone striker at the club. That's it.
