The private companies are liable to need some form of connection/permit from UK plc as the rebuild will be carved up between the nations, and we're in a fairly strong position, but all of that is academic to the right here, right now.

Irrespective of the points you make, I feel that supporting Ukraine with arms is the right thing to do at this point in time.

Russia would sit down tomorrow, just tell Zelenskyy that we will cut him off if he doesn't surrender a chunk of the country .

We all know Zelenskyy has absolutely no say in what goes on though .

That $8.5billion Biden gifted them comes with strings attached.

The stuff we send has strings too. Giving Putin that land will not come cheap, and is liable to cost more in the futire, as both sides have a history of reneging on deals in that region.

The Ukrainians will eventually run out of people to use those arms .

They have zero chance of beating Russia .

To an extent, they've already beaten Russia. The myth of the Russian military might has been exposed for all the world to see. The flip side of that is that they need to do something to save face. Giving them that opportunity by making concessions now would weaken that 'victory'.

I believe the biggest problem was the cozy relationship between Germany and Russia both benefitting in the pipeline feeding the EUROPEAN UNION.

America didn't like it so Germany were told to can the operation with the US taking over distribution through a different route.

Much like Iraq , Afghanistan and Syria they are all wars to dominate Global energy supplies .

Tin pot **** hole countries are at war constantly but unless the arms manufacturers and energy cartels can benefit then **** them .

Standing up for the Ukrainian people doesn't even come into it

The fact that Ukrainian flags and Pro war propoganda isn't shoved down our throats every day might suggest things aren't going so well in Ukraine for Zelenskyy

Repeating again, I don't dispute much of that, the exception for me being the last line, as I feel they should be supported at this point in time. I've perhaps got a bias, having spent time there, and enjoying the place and the people. I was due back there on the day of the invasion.

One of the biggest tragedies is the barbaric practice of forcing Ukranian men to fight or be killed as a deserter.

Civilians should never be forced to fight for their country in 2022.

ALL Civilians no matter their age or sex should be allowed to leave Ukraine for a safe country .

I bet none of the ruling class or their families are given a gun and sent to the front lines to be killed .

Zelenskyy is too busy receiving awards at the Oscars and doing Vanity Fair photo shoots .

    It's a sick joke

They've already beaten Russia ( To an extent) <laugh>

Would this be the same Russia that is currently raking in massive profits from the sale of oil and gas to third countries who then sell it on to us at vast mark ups?

All the more reason to send them the medium to long range missile kits we're sending them.

I'm sure next time we illegally invade another country and our troops are fighting against an outgunned opponent.

You would be fine for Russia to send weapons to kill our soldiers .

More pathetic whinging from the D list ballroom dancer .

ALL women's teams run at a loss .

    End of .

No they don't usually play in the men's stadiums because they wouldn't fill them and it costs money to staff them .

They are not anywhere near the standard of U23 sides and those games only get a few hundred fans turn up .

If a league 2 side like Notts County get into financial difficulty then they face closing for good because they don't generate enough money .

Without the men's teams there would be no Women's game , money Is funnelled in as a tax right off .

Since the English Women's team won something some feminists have demanded they get paid the same as the men .

Even though there is no lucrative TV deals or sponsorship.

Even If Women's league football was live on free TV I wouldn't watch it .

If law was passed that women should be paid a similar amount to top Premier league players , many sides would discontinue the Women's team .

This constant striving for Equity is just more Marxist nonsense and isn't compatible with the free market business model of professional football to be sold as a product.

These militarist patriots fail to take into account that other countries are populated by militarist patriots.

Not quite as dull as umpteen pages of peculiar left wing memes.

We are actually having a conversation without resorting to insults or pictures of Trump .

Your spam cabbage thread is more your level .

This exotic paradise, this millionaire's bolt hole away from the cares of a modern world, this golden city on the shores of a sparkling crystal sea...this is Dummed reporting from Hull.

I'll weigh that up at the time, as I did with Iraq and the gulf etc.

It changes nothing about my main point that I support assisting Ukraine at this point in time.

They really are uncomfortable with conversations aren't they, especially when they're on issues and opinions rather than just childish personal abuse.

You'd think they'd delight in the fact that there's difference of opinion between us...but then again, that ****s up their binary thinking and labels. <laugh>
