We used to be good at possession footy, remember the pretty triangles when we used to have players that could play to that system ? Mayaswell just go all out attack if they get nowhere in the first quarter with doing the same old thing expecting a different result !
As if things couldn’t get any worse …. Andy Woolmer will be the man in charge when Swansea City travel to Bloomfield Road to face Blackpool on Saturday. The man from Northamptonshire last took charge of a Swans game on Good Friday when he presided over a 1-1 draw between the Swans and Barnsley at the Swansea.com Stadium. He gave out four yellow cards on that day, with Matt Grimes booked for Swans. Woolmer is a very experienced official and was first added to the National List of Referees in 2004. He has blown the whistle during more than 300 EFL matches and was once a Premier League assistant referee. He has taken charge of just one game so far this term - a League Two contest between Swindon Town and Salford. The match ended in a 0-0 draw and Woolmer handed out nine yellow cards, with two of those going to Swindon's Harry McKirdy who was sent off shortly before half time. Last season, Woolmer took charge of 33 matches handing out 107 yellow cards and one red. On Saturday, he will be assisted by Andrew Dallison and Mark Stevens. Andy Haines will be the fourth official. https://www.skysports.com/amp/footb...-fa-after-comments-about-referee-andy-woolmer
There a poll on PS 150 have responded, with 76% going for a Blackpool win, 12% for the Swans and 12% for a draw …..
With loads expecting a loss I'm changing my prediction to a win ! Can't rely on the 2hats to do what's expected of them can we ! ?
We know they're capable of playing well (well Cardiff do anyway ) but they're just so inconsistent. If they do win it means nothing going forward, may as well put it down to pot luck as good management!
Swansea City: Fisher; Cabango, Naughton, Darling; Latibeaudiere, Fulton, Grimes (C), Manning; Sorinola, Piroe, Obafemi. Subs: Benda, Allen, Ntcham, Cullen, Wood, O Cooper, Congreve. Jamie Paterson is unavailable for today's game due to injury.
I take it no one else is bothered about this game either! Thought I'd pop on at half time to find out how it's going... 0 - 0 at half time.. the obligatory 67% possession but surprisingly, 8 shots, 2 on target. Sounds better than expected.
We have been much more direct in this game. But the buggers have a penalty against the run of play! Coming after a wonder save from their keeper
