I think your eleven won't be far off what AN puts out. Consolidation in the league for us is paramount and we are not yet fully up to full strength manpower wise, so resting the first eleven may be a prudent move. I think Roberts has to start and a lot of our 'second string' need valuable game time.

This could be a tight game, depending on the strength of their line up. Promotion will be their only aim this season and with that in mind, I expect Moore to make quite a few changes too.

Hoping we can sneak a win, but I'd rather we beat QPR. Got us to win on penalties.

 

enjoyed Ellis Simms last match so we should keep him in to get more playing time in . Another great thread RTB would stick with your choices but keep 5 first teamers in reserves in case we need to win the game. As we need to go further in this competition to keep the reserves getting more game time

 

Slightly off piste...taking the grandson to Morecambe tonite so I can see how Stoke play, hoping for a good match. Haway the Shrimpers

 

The likes of Cirkin, Clarke and Stewart should be nowhere near the squad tomorrow imo. It’s not an important game, get the fringe players some minutes and pack the bench with youngsters. It’s all about the league this season.

we have had 2 games ffs, who is to say what our strongest, regular first team squad is?

be good to see lads get some minutes and these will want 'revenge' so expect them to come haring out the blocks...stop them scoring in the first 20 or so minutes and i reckon the game will become much tighter and anyone could nick it.

Well really disappointed with Stoke, they did play a few youngsters, played against 10 men for half an hour and hardly tested the Morecambe keeper.
Having said that the home team win on penalties not having a single shot in target in 90 minutes.
Difficult to watch, very poor Ref ( there's a surprise) but if Stoke were anywhere near Championship standard I don't think we've got much to worry about.
Grandson was chuffed to bits, felt sorry for the several hundred travelling fans, must have felt really let down.
PS.
Donald Love is Morecambe 's captain and right back, didn't have a bad game but looks like League One is his level.

Head Coach Alex Neil is expected to rotate several of his team from Saturday’s winning side at Bristol City in Sky Bet Championship action.
Bailey Wright, Luke O’Nien and Jack Diamond could all be involved, alongside Patrick Roberts, who netted the crucial goal in the Lads’ last visit to the blue side of Sheffield. Alex Bass could be in contention for a debut, with players such as Carl Winchester, Aji Alese and Jay Matete also waiting in the wings.

Sheffield Wednesday are out for nothing less than promotion from League One this term, at the second time of asking. Darren Moore’s men sit fourth in the division at this early stage, having taken four points from their opening two games – following up a 3-3 draw against Portsmouth with a 1-0 success at MK Dons.
