He definitely looks defeated already. Realised how **** they are how big a job it is and the level of expectation.
I did. Can't say I called it, thought he'd do well and stabilise and there's still time but also some decisions that seen a little odd and this isn't helped if the club are looking to get the likes of Aunautovic (spelling) in.
Liverpool went 30 years without winning the league and some ex Utd people have said that won't happen to Utd. It's now been a decade. David Moyes - Graeme Souness Ryan Giggs - Roy Evans Louis Van Gaal - Gerard Houllier Jose Mourinho - Rafa Benitez Ole Solskjaer - Brendan Rodgers Some success there but those Liverpool managers are doing a lot better. Utd need to find their Klopp.
Not worried about Maddison going anywhere at all mate - paticularly to lower half Prem teams ... and we have guys on the bench that have won titles overseas .... but none of your players have won an English trophy right? ... thought not ... thanks for confirming
^^^^^^^^^ A snap shot of sky sports/social media era football supporters right there. It's been one game for **** sake, give your heads a shake.
It's far too early to be writing Man Utd off. You've got to give the new guy a few transfer windows and time to change the mentality at the club and for his style to be stamped on the way they play. He's a good manager, when it starts to click, I think they'll do alright.
Klopp has been brilliant for Liverpool...no doubt about that. However, it's still only one title in 30+ years and yes you went very close last season but if that's all he ends up with for his time in charge will there be a feeling of it wasn't quite enough ?
We've won the CL as well tbf, and other trophies to go with that as minor as they are considered by some.
Yep and that's why he's been brilliant for you and of course CL is not minor but major. The question is though, if it ends up being only one title in say the last 40 years how will the club be judged by it's own supporters ? It's not just Klopp that needs another title it's the club isn't it ?
For the standard set we should have won more and a dispassionate view would be that under him we have been a nearly (great) team . In the last 4 years City have won 1 more point than us in the league but 3 titles to 1 . We have also been in 4 European finals but have only the 1 trophy . However Klopp has transformed the club and we are again a major force both here an Europe and done within the clubs earned revenue and all us Reds are truly thankful that he became our manager and still is .
More trophies yes preferably PL or CL. He's already been a success but in his remaining years we need more out of this team and Klopp. As a club it's been a roller coaster, we've been nowhere when it comes to the league over those 30 years but also enjoyed a lot of success so can't be all spoilt about that period it had moments and big ones.
