I think Trevor, why so many people were happy and pleased to see poor Naismith been carried off on Saturday. Naismith is/ was a nasty wee b......... on the football field. He had up until his assault on the Dons player been the leading stimulator and diver in Scottish football. Scottish referees were very partial towards him and the referee did not punish him earlier this season for an elbow in the opponents mouth( which took place within 5m of referee. Ally Mc , said he agreed with Naismith's brand of football and urged him to continue. Last Saturday Naismith attempted to break an Don's players leg, succeeded n severely injuring his opponent and was not red carded. Naismith played on a few minutes before going down and was carried off. The fact that Naismith was the aggreesor would indicate to me that it was no surprise that some Don's were happy.
