Werner back to Leipzig for £23m !! That seems awfully ****ing cheap unless there is still some money due to them from when they originally sold him to Chelsea.

Was never really gonna happen for us given the wages he's on and can't see that he'd be happy taking a significant pay cut to come here either.

He's not the type we're after. We want a tall, technical type, as seen in Haaland. Sesko looks a good fit.

Think I read over the weekend that they are not selling him this season but money talks so we'll see!

ps probably could have done without manure losing yesterday which may make them up their offer,Chelsea sniffing around as well.

I don’t think manu can risk signing a 19 year old kid who isn’t at the top of his game yet.

We can because he’s probably good enough for where we are.

But Manu need a world class established marque signing and if he goes there he will be under immense pressure to perform from the get go.

True enough and with Ronaldo wanting to go the clock is ticking for new signings for them.

Yeah, that's the best bit. They probably can't commit to a really huge signing until they know for sure Ronaldo is gone, so hopefully he'll hold out until the last minute of transfer deadline day before agreeing what he wants to do.

Let's go all out for Noni Madueke (RW) and Youssoufa Moukoko (CF)

I'm just throwing names out now but the latter in particular is likely to be a superstar. Doubt there's any chance of getting Moukoko but Madueke seems like a reasonable bid of £20m+ may get the job done.

Ok having re-watched a vid of him (below) maybe it would require more than £20m. When i compare this to some of the players we've been linked to, plus the fact he's English:

We can't sign Moukoko as he's not old enough, there was a change to work permit system after brexit.

Linked to Madueke as late as July 9 as alternative to Diaby: https://www.footballtransfertavern....transfer-news-madueke-diaby-bayer-leverkusen/

Think if we went with 60m upfront they'd take it.

But like 35m with the rest coming later to make 50m I'd also rather just keep the player.
