Exactly this. Another sad point is that as fans we don’t even seem bothered about losing by three goals. We just accept it as an expected result. 4-1 is not a thrashing but it’s getting close.
Agree with your first points but not sure about the “over reactions”. They’re totally born out of the usual on field problems & Ralphs weird tactics / substitutions. I’m hearing more rumours about Che. Jeez, by default he’s out best striker & he didn’t get a kick. If there’s dissent at game1, Ralph better have the rest 100% on side!
Yeah I get people being annoyed by the team selection/subs but bottom line is losing by 3 goals away at Spurs isn’t unexpected, and I think it’s the frustration over many months, and possibly the optimism over the summer, that led to people over reacting
They'd have still beaten us comfortably. They were able to take their foot of the gas for the final twenty minutes. Really could have been 6 or 7.
Sorry but I disagree. The game was over as soon as they went 2-1 up and the second half performance was turd.
They could’ve had 6 or 7 even with their foot off the gas, still opened us up regularly and missed a few good chances
Look at it this way. The first games always produce a few upsets. Fulham manage a draw against Liverpool, Man U lose at home to Brighton and Spurs turn over the mighty Saints! Who’d have thought eh?
Ours are too, but in the garden. It's more stimulating watching them grow etc than watching a certain football team, at present. But we continue to hope. The tomatoes I think will be gone before Saints really turn things around.
I’ve got a pumpkin plant that’s doing very well in spite of the drought. A touch of mildew which could do with treating but otherwise very good. I’ve all but given up on the lawn and hanging baskets this year.
