Same here, was chuffed with the win. Tried watching a horror film with my girlfriend after the game but had an ear to ear grin the whole time .

 

the thing i like about this team and Ba summed it up when asked were we worried when stoke scored and he said "no the gaffer said if they did we would score the 3rd" is the fact we won't give in.So if a team beats us they have to work bloody hard to do it.

 

i watched the shinning after complete waste of time totally ruined it for the wife as i kept saying red rum red rum and pissing myself laughing for no reason

 

I was walking round the house grinning like a loon looking for beer when the final whistle blew.

 

Yeah this is great. I like how often I've heard players say that Pardew treats them like adults and not like kids too. He has instilled a great belief in them and theyre all taking it into each game. Couldn't be more pleased!

I watched the game again this morning before I went to work and my ratings have changed from last night:

Krul - 8 - I gave him 9 last night, still thought he was great, but did odd sloppy thing

Simpson - 8 - Same rating as last night, he was outstanding. Etherington hardly got a look in

S Taylor - 8 - Same rating, proper solid player, I think he is England class

Coloccini - 8 - Same rating, world class defender, don't care what outsiders say

R Taylor - 8 - Same rating, solid and even though would have been more tested if Gutierrez never helped, did fantastic

Obertan - 8 - Same rating, best game for us by a country mile, fast as **** and great cross for first goal

Guthrie - 7 - Same rating, did really well, beginning to grow on me

Cabaye - 6 - I gave him 7 last night, he did some classy little passes, but gave ball away and fouled a few times

Jonas - 9 - Same rating, outstanding performance, great player, he plays with so much passion and commitment

Best - 8 - I gave him 7 last night, after watching again I noticed more than I did when it was live how well he did, although a few times I think he could have passed quicker than he did

Ba - 10 - I gave him 9 last night, never did anything wrong at all, hat trick hero, held it up and worked very hard, great striker
