I'll just say it again, this is a brand new team. This isn't a video game being controlled by people, we've got a squad that's barely played together and are still learning each other's names (and the language), most of the other teams haven't had a complete overhaul and are operating with players who have played together for some time now.

    be patient.

At least he calls a spade a spade. It would be interesting to hear why he’s sticking with 5-3-2 when the players currently available don’t suit it.

    Oscar/Tetteh
    Allahyar Seri Slater Tufan Williams
    Elder Greaves Jones Coyle
    Ingram

I think would have suited todays match day squad much better.

Indeed. He can't have seen Coventry at home last season, or Peterborough at home last season, or Derby at home last season, or Stoke at home last season...

Tetteh must’ve had the wrong boots on today looked like Bambi on ice at times. Good when he got control of the ball though

4-5-1? That’s arguably as defensive as this if not more

He’s evidently a technical big man, very rare player needs to play against Figs in training to work on the other side but his passing and 1 touch stuff was pretty good on the whole. Think he’d work well with Allahyar next to him. Oscar needs crosses into the box desperately

    4-5-1, 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, 4-5-6-1-8-9-2

However you want to dress it up.

A striker at left wing back and a very defensive right back at right wing back just doesn’t work. It’s not even like the 3 centre halves are top class and justify fielding a hodge podge team just to shoehorn them in.

The back 3 were all very good again today as they were last week too. I see absolutely no reason to rip it when most of the Championship play with a back 3.

We just need proper wingbacks, and to sort the balance out in midfield. Seri had a nightmare today, I think he'd have been hooked after an hour if we had anything on the bench

We were laughed at but me and Kalman said this midfield needs size and today proved it. Whilst we are still in transition at this level you won’t get far with 2 >5’8 sitters. Ben Whiteman for them was brilliant and did it alone allowing them to play 2 8s in Johnson and Browne which is a big reason why we couldn’t get out our half in the 2nd half

I don't dispute the size thing, I do worry about Seri though. He's knackering up our balance and from what we've seen so far, Tufan is the better player. I'd like to see us with a new proper DM, Tufan as an 8 and a new attacking midfielder.

We dont get Tufan in the game enough but he was good today again so I'd like him deeper
