That penalty is soft as ****e. He certainly wouldn’t have given it to Everton. I think it’s technically a foul, but he waved worse away outside the box for Everton. It’s that “refs have been told to be less harsh on contact”.. Once again, it’s that rule which only applies to the “smaller” clubs

After 4 years of league 1 refs and the first couple of our championship games, coupled with these premier league games I've seen, I've come to the conclusion that the standard of officiating our beautiful game is absolutely shocking and is getting worse. The var technology doesn't help and neither does the constant ****ing around with the rules. Offside is offside. Most of these refs haven't played a game of football in their lives.

 

Just on balance I don’t believe it’s be given in the other box. From what I’ve watched so far.

I think it’s a foul but I’ve also seen exactly the same not given to Everton (and, other than Pickford, I’d have no problem if Everto Went down!) Wasn’t anywhere near as bad as the one on Simms in our game!!
