We had to dig in the first 15-20 mins of that 2nd half but defended so much better than the first half. it was all 100 mile a hour that 1st half guess it was the occasion. then rather than someone doing it to us we do it to them and score on the run of play. I thought Klich did very well when he came on. on and off the ball as well as winding them up. Bamford really should have scored. but what the hell we won against a very good footballing team. not gonna slag anyone off as it was the 1st game of the season and we won. Even Jesse was getting stuck in at the end with lage and Coops giving the laugh at him in the tunnel love it.

    Afternoon all.
I could only watch the 2nd half. I thought we looked very dangerous going forward and solid at the back. They're a PL team with quality players so, of course, they're going to create chances but we created more and better.
As above, I thought Klich was excellent when he came on and that ball to Paddy for the 2nd goal was sublime.
We looked at least as good after the subs whereas Wolves didn't have anyone to bring on.
I thought Struijk did well at LB.
It's early days but that was a very good start.

This kind of game is exactly why we should try and keep Klich he was perfect for today coming on off the bench

Agree. I thought pre-season that his legs had gone and he was surplus to requirements. But today he showed how effective he can be and how he can be a great impact sub. Also showed today that we should keep Harrison.

We should keep all of them! I could never understand people just wanting to get rid of players. Rodrigo was a target too but he scored today.
We need options from the bench

After the last local elections we are getting there, 10% of councillors in England are now Muslims. Pity anyone with granddaughters in this country in the future.

Said last seasin there was a player there. But like most had given up on him but that's why I'm not a coach.

    Great game by both sides.

Thought we were very impressive first half. Battered them. Obviously under this system (as we were under Bielsa) we are susceptible to teams breaking on us. We will have to get used to that. Conceded against the run of play but harassed Wolves for the rest of the half. Should have been a penalty on Kristensen but apparently VAR still doesn't give us decisions. Rodrigo did what everyone should do, hit it hard and low and on target.

2nd half, we were a bit slow coming out and allowed Wolves a foothold in the game. A wake up call for the new lads that you cannot let your foot off the gas against anyone in this league because they will punish you. We looked to be tiring and needed to change. Marsch eventually stuck Klich on for Rodrigo and that instantly allowed us to gain a bit of control back in midfield. Hopefully Rodrigo can look back and realise that his little sulk at coming off was a bit childish as its exactly what we needed. Greenwood, Summerville and Gelhardt showed that our bench is alot stronger this season and they came on and saw the game out after Aaronson had given us the lead.

All in all a fantastic first half followed by a mediocre 2nd half. Lads are still learning and we will only get stronger when the injured return.

    3 points. 32 to go.

    Player ratings incoming.....

Right, I'm off to the pub to celebrate our win and the fact that twelve more wins and we should be safe! Also to catch the Everton v Chelsea game. The icing on the cake today would be if Fat Fwank's team of moaners and cheats gets thrashed.
