    Because we can't afford them. We buy young and develop. Whether you like it or not, that's the model. It was the same under Gao although then we had to shift players before we bought anyone

    Well we will have to afford relegation then (which is a lot more expensive), if we continue to ignore a glaring problem.

    I don't advocate turning over our entire policy, but we need to be flexible enough to address problems and based on this window we could have afforded an exception.

    I think that will worry the coaches more than anything. They've worked so hard on the defensive side during preseason.
