It’s a fair point, but the alternative is playing our two best players out of position. Not such an issue for KWP but we miss JWP in midfield.
He’s very much a work in progress. In his first season his defending was crap and he couldn’t stay on his feet and keep possession at the same time. Once he mastered his defensive duties he was a decent back up as a wing back ( as opposed to a LB). But every time I’ve seen him preseason, he’s kept hold of the ball, stayed on his feet a little more and - amazingly - put some quality deliveries into the box. Will be watching him carefully today.
I feel like Ralph overthinking his bench - now the five subs rule is in place - might be a regular occurrence this season.
Could be 3-5-2, Aribo played as a forward occasionally at Rangers. It's definitely a back 3 with wing backs.
