Best to start as strong as possible.

Winning is habit-forming, you want to start winning early.

Ok trying to rationalise why I dislike them.

    1) I don't like teams that play in white in general. I think white kits look tacky. <laugh>. Spurs, Fulham, Real, etc.

(Much prefer England in Red. Liverpool have never bothered me in white away kits. Actually think ours have usually looked OK)

    2) As an Englishman in America who gets asked daily if I'm from "London" because I have an English accent and they can't differentiate a Northern accent from a London accent. I have grown to despise London. (Still beats being asked if I'm Korean, which still makes no sense to me)

    3) The name "Fulham" sounds very bland and uninspiring.

    4) Fulham badge is bland and uninspiring.

Ok. There's my rationalisation! That's the best I can do. <laugh>

    When chasing down City
You have to win every game
    It’s the only way
I know I am pessimistic but I remember saying when we blew the lead at Brentford that would be fatal
    We need every single point
    If drawing
    Go for the win
Push city and anyone else every step of the way

I thought you'd been felt up by Jimmy Hill when a ball boy. (the beard was a dead giveaway wasn't it?)

My dislike is a bit ironic; they were the "next Blackburn" when they were bought by Mohamed Al Fayed and I didn't like it. I said ironic because recent purchases such as Man City and Newcastle never bothered me (Chelsea didn't initially but did when I saw the sums they were chucking out).

I think sponsors and ads and various badges stand out more on them in many cases and frequently they end up just looking like bilboards...

... But it's not normally as big a problem on national team kits, they can look more clean as you say. (Although I still prefer colour there).

He played in the 50's? 60's? I'm several decades too young for that. <laugh>

Mitrovic would have been more likely to feel me up.

She never specified. The woman that asked me if I was from Korea just said "Are you from Korea or something?"

I was too stunned to think of anything witty to respond. Scotland, Ireland, Australia, even South Africa, I'm used to questions if I'm from one of those places. (Interesting never Wales though). Korea though was just so "out there" it kind of stunned me... <laugh>

I liked it. You just don't get poetry. The meter and subtle word use was sublime. I vote Bumps the forum poet laureate.

Yeah. As good as Nunez was, it's better to start with Bobby up front as it's gonna take time for the team to get used to Nunez's forward play. Better to bring him on against tiring defences for now.

He has to make sure that VAR doesn't get something right occasionally.
