    Gotta say !!!!!
    outplayed outclassed ... respect matey
    That must be our worst performance since joining the prem league !
    but i will not take anything away from the toon ......
    top class performance .. i really did nt think that we cud play that bad hey ho its happened !!

    good luck to u guys !
    Pardew got his tactics spot on .... towels etc mmmm
    but u gotta giv it to u guys great great performance !

    Pardews tactics being referred to as 'Towels etc mmmm' is a big insult to the guy, he deserves a lot of praise for his tactics tonight. Chappaz summed it up nicely:

    I've seen Stoke play a lot worse than that and in the second half I thought we were pretty **** to be honest.

    Great result though, not an easy place to go by any means. Good luck in Europe <ok>

    As for the towels etc. One Stoke fan on the BBC said something along the lines of

    And its true, very simple, but allowed us to control the pace, frustrate your fans and have a little mental advantage (though this only worked due to the early goal - otherwise we'd just be wasting our own time!).
