Nigel Pearson and his views on technology. To be fair, I think it's a good point. I know you Hull fans are calling us all bitter, and we are, to be fair, but for good reason. I haven't heard anyone outside the Hull camp think this was a penalty. I was watching Sky Sports News on Sat when it happened, Matt Murray was the at-the-ground commentator; he couldn't believe it, and neither could Jeff Stelling and Lee Hendrie (who never has a good word to say about BCFC) in the studio, all calling it a terrible decision. Then the EFL round-up, the host and Dean Ashton couldn't believe it either, yet the Hull fans say it was a stonewall.....

What about the other stonewall one we weren’t given?

If there was technology you'd probably have conceded 2 pens in the 1st half.

The TV angles didn't really do it justice, but it was an clear stonewall pen

Apart from the decision maker (ref) on the day who was there and closer than us and any pundits ,
oh and the evidence in the photo below...

The amount of times a referee is criticised for missing an important decision after the event when the slow motion, multi angle camera views show that there was contact. In this instant an official gave a penalty for an incident that admittedly looked like a complete dive at the time, but the photos and replays have shown he was indeed correct and there was contact. Don't let the exaggerated fall of the player blind you to the fact your player caught his ankle late and therefore it was a foul and a penalty.

I can’t think of another example where a correct decision has been argued to be a terrible decision.

Don't worry about it, over the course of the season it all evens out.

Nearly a week later and they're still going on about it <laugh>

Shouldn't you be focusing on Sunderland Massive at the weekend?

Ohh dear have you still not moved on? You have obviously not looked at the conclusive evidence of the pictures our are refusing to open your eyes when looking at them. Ahhh yes and to close by saying, thanks for the 3 points.

With VAR, Naismith might’ve been shown a straight red for recklessly diving in with his studs up. It was a clear foul and could’ve been a nasty one. Screenshots from multiple angles show Naismith’s studs raking Tetteh’s ankle. It even ripped his sock.

Are you still not over it? It’s been nearly a week, you sad bastards.

    I’m surprised they haven’t resurrected 2008.

It was like the one in the first half that you got away with. Also that Dean Windass goal at Wembley was offside, wasn't it.

Have the club received a letter of apology from the head of referees yet?

If we are going to follow rugby as Nigel is arguing then lets go the whole hog and stop the clock when the ball isn't in play. Bristol City fans will have a ****ing long afternoon waiting for the final whistle.

Don’t think he was demoted due to the penalty decision, which he got right, but his overall crap game and allowing all the time wasting from Bristol with no action taken.

I think both clubs can agree the ref was absolutely ****e. It’s just funny that the Bristol fans seem to think he was ****e for actually getting a decision correct.
