I know the chairman is trying to reassure the guy but I doubt anyone can confidently make that statement in any city and I include Southampton in that. Billie is back home in London along with his family as you can imagine all fairly traumatised by events and not feeling too disposed on him returning to Portsmouth or Gosport FC and who can blame them. Can I encourage you to reach out to Billie and his family by using any of the GBFC social media facilities to both wish Billie a speedy recovery whilst demonstrating that his experience is so out of kilter with the inbuilt hospitable nature of our city and its supporters.
What a lovely moment and gesture this is. An Everton supporter, who has been driving supplies to Poland to aid the Ukrainians, is brought on to take a penalty in Everton’s friendly against Dynamo Kiev.
Yep, no pen for me…..thought back to the Matty Cash handball couple of seasons ago , blatant handball and wasn’t given.
Southend have renamed one of their stands after a sponsor. The stand is now called The Gilbert & Rose West Stand. What a massive PR **** up.
