I disagree with that. I think Schmeichel has been a huge factor in Leicester's recent success. It's only cos his dad played for Utd in their glory days, and he plays for Leicester, that he's not rated in the same category. Without him and Vardy, Leicester would be just another ordinary side; maybe not relegation candidates, but forget top 6, and probably top 8 altogether.
That depends a lot on how the new clubs perform, hard to say how high the bar is likely to be set. I think they'll get 40 points and survive but can see them starting slowly and Lamps being under big pressure. They're not getting 10 points from their first 10 games, I'd say more like 6.
he certainly didn't do well at Derby considering the budget he was given plus Mount Wilson and Tomori on loan .
You are wrong as always! What has Kasper won in the way of top trophies, an FA Cup and a Premier League and it even took him about 5-6 years to achieve that. There's a reason he only played for Notts County and Leeds previously, it's because he's shhite and no top six team would touch him. Now you and me could argue this point all day, so let me close the topic by listing Peter's achievements: Premier League titles: 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1999 are you bored yet or shall i keep going... FA Cup: 1994, 1996, 1999 give up yet, my old mate?... Champions League: 1999 if you don't believe me ask Chief he was there. I'm bored now, you can read the rest for yourself... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Schmeichel I'm guessing Archers you're the sort of man that would spend £80M on a donkey though, so it's not surprising you see qualities that are not there.... Move along now, aint you got a picket line or something to be standing on?
Obvious bollocks. Leicester - ****ing Leicester ffs - were a top 6 side, for several seasons. Partly because they have one of the best keepers in the PL. I'd put him and Lloris at the top of the bunch, and that's not based on a load of meaningless stats, that's based on having seen them play
He has a point ... the squad we have (currently) when all fit can compete for Top 6 ... and Kaspar is a top keeper .. . but also has weaknesses ... and the weaknesses were readily apparent last season with our defensive fragility from set pieces... now that was also down to not having Evans and Fofana for most of the season ...the former's organisational skills and the latter's aerial ability ... but Kaspar does not command his 6 yard box, preferring to stay on his line ... and that proved very costly ... Brenda also needs to shoulder a fair share of blame for that defensive frailty ... he persisted with zonal marking all season which just exacerbated the problem ... culminating with Tammy Abrahams scoring from a corner in the Euro semi-final whilst standing on the 6 yard box line with the nearest defender marking the 6ft 4" Abrahams being the 5ft 6" Ricardo Pereira ...
Lampard has already lasted 6 months longer than the average Everton manager, so I'm going to go with Lumpy.
The Sack Race odds Frank Lampard 7/2 Jesse Marsch 5/1 Brendan Rodgers 7/1 Ralph Hasenhüttl 7/1 Scott Parker 8/1 Marco Silva 9/1 Bruno Lage 12/1 Thomas Tuchel 12/1 Antonio Conte 18/1 Eddie Howe 18/1
Mayor Quimby will be out by November. Replaced by Steve Bruce on a 3 year contract. @FosseFilberto to confirm.
As the press will confirm Bruce is an excellent manager who any club would be blessed to have. I'm shocked Man Utd didn't go for him, he's much better than Ten Hag or Conte or Pep or Klopp. Only the unreasonable fans at Newcastle would think otherwise. Oh and Aston Villa. And Sunderland. And probably others...
Not got a clue mate ... if we keep the players currently attracting the bids, I think we could have a good season ... given the squad depth and no European distractions ... if we lose those players then there isn't much time to fill the gaps ... Kaspar going could either be a positive or a negative ... was a big part of an obvious weakness last season (defending set pieces) but was a big character in the dressing room ... I'll let you know after the weekend
