You want food places to be successful, but are there too many food places in Hull? I quite like Trinity Market and the food places inside. It seems any empty retail outlet, the solution is to put in a food place of some description. Maybe we have reached saturation point.

Wonder if City being at home with the improved projected attendances would have helped it a little. Sounds like it may be too late though.

Thanks, well, I'll go and have a look and see whats what, and go elsewhere for lunch if nothing looks worth having.

The Tower's gone again, it didn't last long, it was only reopened in February.

It's not very helpful if BBC staff are going round the place breaking chairs. :emoticon-0104-surpr

That fella was fairly dismissive, he'd be better off taking on board the criticism and rectifying the things they're plainly getting wrong.

Yep, arrogant and made it very clear to me why the place is struggling. I can tell already he would be a nightmare to work for, thinks he knows it all.
I run my business for my customers. They tell me what we can do better and we adapt. We create products specifically for them if need be.

To come out in public and use that anology about £50 notes is embarrassing and enough for me to think I might stay away now until he is gone. Most busniess owners have customers that they know are a little awkward and many potential customers they cannot obtain because they have differing opinions on their products but to say it out loud is arrogant. His head is well and truly buried in the sand.

H of H is not for everyone. It is not expensive, it is just not cheap. Big difference. But they have done nothing to attract the people who can afford to eat there (probably at least 50% of the local population) through it's doors. No loyalty scheme. No staff discounts for major employers in Hull. No Official Link up with the Bonus Arena that I have seen, just naff social media posts trying to jump on whatever is around at the arena every now and again.

City fans well practiced in recognising business owners who have no regard for their customers

In light of the current economic climate facing Hospitality, we have made the very difficult decision to close the restaurant with immediate effect.

We’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us since opening the doors in September 2019, and also our fantastic team for all the hard work they have put into creating something we are all incredibly proud of.

We wish everyone the very best for the future.

James really is one of the best restaurateurs around the area .He did a brilliant job of my private 60th birthday last year and Rupert’s has been one my favourites since opening. I feel it goes to show that the hospitality industry is a very brutal business with at least three closing on Princess Avenue this year . I am sure that a new venture will rise from the ashes good luck James
