Selling your best players cannot be part of any sensible plan for improving a club on the field. Only idiots would try that. Luckily Radz and co decided against that plan in the end
Imo I don't think we can blame Radz in that scenario, when these players want to leave, 99% of the time they're gone and that is at any club. Or they just do a Pogba, sulk for 2 years, then feck off for nothing, get a big signing on fee plus even bigger wages because no fee involved. Some clubs have big squads that can absorb it, not many and we're not anywhere near that. Bosman really has a lot to answer for.
Players aren’t fools in a lot of cases. They can see how far a club is likely to progress in next few years. If it doesn’t match their own then who’d blame them. Almost none of them are fans except when picking up their fat pay cheques. Then they lovingly kiss the badge of course
