Patterson was good again today. No chance with the goal.

For a young lad he is very confident coming for crosses and rarely makes a wrong decision!

Agreed. Came for a few early crosses and that gave everyone confidence. Having watched their goal back, I have to say it was excellent

Superb finish, the quality we didn’t see in L1. Good forward that lad

O’Nien lucky not to see red? I really hope his game time is limited in midfield this season, we need better.

Without a doubt. Should've walked in all honesty.

By and large happy with that. Some good stuff in the first half and if we'd got a second, I think we'd have won .

But they had a stronger bench and it showed. Maybe the three or four AN hopes to add will help with that. And some of the players will benefit from a first game at a new level.

Thought we always looked a threat when we got near their goal, even in the last few minutes, but a draw was fair enough.

I rate him more than most but yeah that was a straight red, no need for it.

There's more to him than that, I think he'll do better and surprise a few.

Just a quick question as we only used to subs did AN think whoever was left on the bench couldn’t make a difference

Stewart played well but I would’ve liked some fresh legs on up top. Simms will be disappointed he didn’t feature…

Yeah was expecting him for the last 10. Stewart was getting not all from the ref so that change would have made sense. Long season like and AN has shown he is happy to change formation and players depending on opposition.

Surprised he only made 2 changes… I’m a bit sick of seeing O’Nien in a midfield role if I’m honest.

I agree. He couldn't get close to Coventry midfielders yday, was a good half second off the pace. Touch was heavy and once again, was late into tackles.

Decent result some canny football played but as I’ve said before we need bigger more athletic players in central midfield to compete. Our current crop are ok for the bench but we need better. Thought clarke put in a shift both defensively and going forward. Shows the step up in quality in this league and a draw was about the right result. We will be ok though watching that and a few more additions will make us stronger. Also good to see the step up in quality of the referee’s in this league. :emoticon-0127-lipss Keep the faith lads and lasses.

Hopefully that was Alex Neil just reminding the recruitment team how short we are in midfield. When Evans is your starter and O9 your only option off the bench we are going to be in trouble

A game of 2 half’s, I enjoyed it and don’t see us struggling this season but I reckon we’re a bit light weight in the middle now after yesterday. A.N. will have learned a lot from that and it’s a point onboard. Patterson is gonna be a top flight keeper whether it’s with us or not, his confidence compared to his experience is unreal.
