I donot condone dishonest police officers. We tend to expect that they MUST conduct themselves in a saintly manner ( off duty as well as when at work .) They are an easy target for venting one's spleen - and, in the case of dishonest officers, quite rightly so - but to be fair to the greater majority of them - they do a job that I would not want in these times of semi anarchy. ( hands up those of you that would take on their role .) I too agree that our law makers in Westminster appear to have got away with their fiddling. I was led to believe that over a third of the (dis)honourable members had been adjudged to have fiddled their expenses ( stolen our tax payers money ) - what's happened to them - nothing in the main - barring a couple of exceptions. Yet another example of double standards.
Police are just a reflection of wider society. Just the same as doctors, bus drivers, shop assistants and everyone else. There are some good, some bad. Aberdeen fans though, they're all a bunch of ****s.
I understand your outrage ER, but it's not really a case of "one rule for them and another for the rest of us". Most people can avoid disciplinary action (even for gross misconduct) by simply resigning.
QUOTE=DevAdvocate;1604365]Have you ever been taken up the nick?[/QUOTE] Once, no actually twice now since the interview I've been nabbed by the rozzers again. Not charged this time though. All fairly silly stuff. And I'm not saying what that was for either before you ask
