Blast from the past thread. I was gutted at the time that the mags got Ba after we were reportedly making an approach . Even more disappointed now as he's proved what i thought, in that he'd score lots of goals. I remember the story emerging about West Ham reporting us to the pl for illegally approaching him, which then seemed odd when he signed to newcastle for free which would suggest he was free to talk to whoever he wanted??? Did West Hams threat make us back off and look elsewhere?
