Mixed up grid on a track that has been hard to overtake on should be a great test of the new regs today.

Come on Lewis, let's get into the fight here.

Merc finally showing some potential is great, well done George. If the flexi floor takes a few tenths off RB / Ferrari then Merc really could get a few wins in the second half of the season at this rate.

    Another ferrari mistake.

    It's going to rain.

    You go on medium.

The others on softs and going to swallow them up

I'm obvs a massive Lewis fan and I know he didn't gain a place but surely going off track that far because of speed should be penalised. lap one blah blah blah I know.

Edit - okay, watched it again and Lando did push him quite far out

For a moment I thought Lewis had the pace to win this. Why do I not learn to stop hoping <doh>

Leclerc has to run long. Pretty baffled that they didn't do that with Sainz

Normal stop is 21 seconds, Russell only 19 behind and travelling faster that LeClerc

I wonder if ferrari are using Carlos to cover George and Charles is running mediums as long as possible to have 1 stop?

Odd that they didn't run Ham long. Nothing to lose really, lots to gain.

Nicely done from Leclerc, but he's still got to get himself out of undercut range

    Hards to be avoided.

    Sainz screwed again by ferrari.

Hard defending from Russell eventually defeated by aggression from leclerc.

Verstappen not really doing much bar tyre saving behind sainz

I’m surprised that Verstappen hasn’t caught Sainz by now to be honest
