It was nothing malicious, it wasn't just me who thought they were in Hull for the Gay Pride carnival, or what ever it was, because of the way they were dressed and the high pitched screaming coming from there direction, and we'd never seen them in the pub before.. That's why a couple of us spoke to them, to make them feel welcome, we made contact, wished them well, told them where the best parts of town were on a Saturday night, shook hands and left. Decent lads.

This was a penalty, but so was another missed for us in the first half.

And a couple of your players at least should have been booked for time wasting. No slight against the team for that, everyone does it, but another example of the ref not having a handle on the game.

What are you hoping to gain posting all this on a Hull City forum the day after a match? Us all to go ‘yeah you’re right, you deserved it’?

That’s not going to happen, especially as the stats are in our favour for the game. Move on, it’s a long season and this was the first game. You might be higher in the table or you might not be, bit pointless arguing now.

You have no idea who/what I like so don't presume you do. You are a little obsessed with this club song theme, so perhaps you should compose one and sing it out loud from the middle of the North Stand at the next home game and see how many join in with you ? That's if it is true that the best songs have never been heard before, as you claim. Side note. Not a big fan of the Elvis song ( and loads of others singing it) 'Falling in Love with You', only because several other clubs also claim it as there own. BUT, when it was played over the tannoy at full blast on the final whistle yesterday, it was quiet emotional. Or had I had too much to drink ?

For the record Vyners push was a penalty that theatre your player pulled was not-so it evened out.
Our was a definite penalty not given.
Don’t blame you boys-but I do the ref who was not fit to be on the pitch.

all i can go on is your self professed liking of housemartins/beautiful south and seeming to attribute little known to the songs i mentioned. surely thats fair game?

i was always trying to get us city fans to take up singing new songs at games, like i said it started with doing it on the back seat of mrs mogs coaches and carried on but then stopped early 80's. i and my pals used to start a lot of songs in kempton for a few years.
once the internet appeared late 90's i found i could suggest songs to sing to a wider audience but every single suggestion went down like a lead balloon. i can play musical instruments, have a perfect ear for music, but sadly i cant sing in tune so i can tell only so well. i can write music and have written a few songs. one of them is the best song in the world that no one has ever heard. i too dont like the fact we borrowed falling in love from other teams. it felt sort of false singing it but i got over that after about only one season? i would join in with caravan of love and who knows after a season might let it go....

i suppose what you as a fan must try and appreciate appreciate that it has been a living hell for a non fan, reisiding in a city that expects you to adopt a band whose style of music you dont buy into and then to get it rammed down your throat by constant airplay by 3 local radio stations for like the last 30 years.

so my obsession is not really to be the one who decides what the club song is
but more who decides what it isnt.

ulrika, pick a song you hate the most that would prompt you to turn the radio off and then see it being hailed as the best thing since sliced bread.
then you will see my obsession.

Good points to be fair. But I believe the positives of having Allahyar on the wing outweigh the negatives. I mean, before the game, I’d have agreed. Not having him up top is a waste. But if we must play this formation, then we need the pace and attacking threat from the wing.

I guess time will tell and you could be right (the control in the centre of midfield). But I think next time we don’t play Allahyar on the left, he will be sorely missed. We need him on the ball as much as possible now we’ve lost KLP in my opinion. Just for the spark to get the rest of them going, if nothing else! Up top against a better side, he may hardly get a touch.

His forward role was theatrical, but as everyone can see - it’s a stonewall penalty. I think the 2 in the first half were stonewall penalties we should have had as well.

What does your wrong assumption that people were attending a gay pride event have to do with anything in this thread other than to serve as a not so veiled dig that Bristol fans are a bit camp. Which you will obviously deny but it’s pretty clear. ****ing bellpiece. It’s a shame people like you associate yourselves with our club.
