Didn’t realise Rooney has gone back to the MLS to manage DC United, thought he might’ve got a job in the UK after everyone was sucking him off last year at Derby
If it's true what I was told a few days before he left Derby, by an ex Derby employee, and it's known within the game, he'll never get a top job here.
Nunez grabs his first goal in the 95th minute by when the City players were already mentally checked out and thinking about the next game. bodes well
Thought it was a bit of a lucky goal myself, and prior to that another VAR decision favouring Liverpool, to give Salah an easy penalty, golden boot or something.
The lad tried and looks fast with good movement. looked a bit clumsy on his feet though but that could have been the effects of trying to impress. Yellow card for taking his shirt off in the Charity Shield is not a good start though, if he does that every time he scores he could miss a few games this season (if he scores a lot )
Nunez looked a bit like what he is, a new player. He will take a few games to find his place/role in the team (and for other players to learn his strengths), will be a great player for you this season. Diaz i have doubts about. Fast, jinky and exciting to watch but seems short on the end product. This can be improved with training but he has been with you a while and it doesn't seem to be going that way.
