Tell you what's whoever made the call on fans being moved into the north stand got that spot on. Great shout and really added to the atmosphere today. Against teams with bigger travelling support we'll have 18k plus back in which has been unheard of for about 6 years

Wonder which part of the game he thinks they “dominated”? Timewasting? Feigning injury?

We’ve now surpassed our number of penalty goals for last season.

    A very enjoyable game…

Fantastic atmosphere from a good thirty minutes before kick off until a good ten minutes after the final whistle…the North stand felt like an away end,it was that loud at times.

We got a bit jammy with the winner but you could see the building blocks of what looks a promising team this season…Seri ran the game from midfield and his influence over everything City did well, especially in the second half, was apparent.Tufan had a very good game too, although it’s seems his work rate will get up the nose of a fair portion of City fans who think every midfielder should run around at a thousand miles an hour.Took his penalty extremely well and with a bit more fitness will be some player at this level.

Greaves,Figs and Jones put a real shift in…Coyle had a fine performance but for me,Slater and Allahyah were real standouts….Allahyah was all over the pitch at times.

Bristol City were one of the worst teams I’ve seen at time-wasting and trying to con the referee…they obviously angered the footballing gods as the Lord’s favourite midfielder’s prayers were answered with that deflected winner.

Hull City manager Shota Arveladze told BBC Radio Humberside:

"Even though we went 1-0 down we had an even game. They had their chances, we had our chances.

"We kept going because the supporters helped us, gave us the extra energy which sometimes you want to find in the last half an hour. Altogether I believe they assisted with the energy to the boys and the boys used that energy and finished the game.

"I believe Benjamin [Tetteh] had the time to really make a goal so I should not think why would he go down, they didn't break his leg but probably they touched him enough to get this penalty. It was a yard away, one-and-a half yards away from the goal.

"I don't want to say it's 100%, but it's a penalty which was almost a goal so he would not go down, that's what I want to believe."

Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson grumpily told BBC Radio Bristol:

"We've played well, we don't deserve to lose but I'm afraid you can't do a lot about that when circumstances pan out like they did.

"We feel really aggrieved with the equaliser that they got and that we didn't get a penalty almost straight after that. Their winner is just one of those things that sometimes happens in games, a big deflection which gives you no chance.

"There's absolutely nothing [contact for the Hull penalty] and to be honest with you, their player should have been booked for falling over afterwards. I just find it quite bizarre really. But I don't want to start moaning about referees on day one, I actually spoke to Kevin Friend before the game.

"We did OK for long periods in the game, we didn't quite pass the ball as well as we can do in the second half but we've had opportunities. Tommy Conway had a chance when he went on, Jay had a shot across the goal. We've put them under pressure but it's a disappointing end to a very promising performance."

After seeing the screenshot of the pen incident, I’m certain it was a pen now. Clear contact on Tetteh’s ankle. Anyone who’s played football knows studs on the back of your ankle hurts like **** and can easily lead to a snapped Achilles. The staggered way he fell down doesn’t necessarily mean he was looking for it. More likely he was trying to stay on his feet but buckled once the pain hit.

31,000 at Derby. Impressive given what has been happening there.

Bigger stadium, bigger club. Why would you bring up another club’s attendance in response to a significant increase of our own? It’s like when you boast about Norwich’s attendance.

Smaller city. We should get larger attendance than a club which has been relegated, been through a load of **** and is from a smaller city. I don’t boast about Norwich’s attendances. Just we had the same level in good times and bad from a smaller population.
