The Sanchez LCB thing needs to end, pre-season or not. Absolutely horrific there. Should’ve started Lenglet or Davies with the other coming on at HT. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s almost the XI we’ll field against Southampton. Davies in for Sanchez and Bentancur in for Hojbjerg or Bissouma the only changes I think we’ll see. Would like to say Spence in at RWB but think Conte may ease him in.
1-0 Roma. Ibanez headers in from a corner. They’ve had the more dangerous chances so far. We look quite lethargic. Not a good sign with a week to go til the season starts.
Roma certainly look more up for it. Apart from the early diving they seem keem to leave something on the man in every challenge. Not necessarily nasty, but clearly deliberate tactic. Peresic the only one really showing up for us so far.
Yeah Perisic playing well. Son showed some nice touches, we’ve not gotten Kane into the game, albeit had a goal chalked off from Kulu being just offside. The two CMs haven’t been looking to control the game anywhere near enough. Thought this game especially we’d be playing with a higher level of intensity but it’s been very lackadaisical.
