Docherty looked a completely different player to the one who was subbed on in the latter part of last season.

I thought he looked neat and tidy pre-season too. Hopefully having more gifted midfielders around him has pushed him to improve and learn.

Exactly, and wasn't a media whore like Brownie. If he had spent less time being at the beck and call of Talksport etc he might have talked more people down off the bridge.

From where I was in South Stand it looked like it.

I said at half time we needed to pick up the pace and we did, it was a very good second half, if not still showing some rustiness.

I wouldn’t play the kids against Bradford, I’d be using it as another competitive game to get us to gel and play using the same squad we used today.

He has never been a deep midfielder player in his natural role today where he actually stood out last season

Seems to be coming out from 'someone's' shadow, though I thought Ozan justified his starting selection today.

You were at home, and got the worst penalty decision I’ve seen in a long time, and a very fortunate deflection for the win. I think you could also be in that transition you mention come May.
I shall watch with interest any dodgy penalties you get given against you to see if you agree. Something tells me if that had gone against you, you’d be as gutted as we are!

It isn’t a bad decision though, the ref was right in front of it. We should’ve had 2 in the first half you seem to not mention that!

Vert poor ref 8 whinging fall over free kicks in the first half..
Best give him the benefit as it was probably his first match so needs to get up to speed just like we do.
    Martin the worse culprit.
Goalie should have been booked for time wasting and interfering with the net in the build up to the penalty.
Ironically he booked one of theirs after the match for carrying on the whinging.!
    Typical Pearson poodles.

It's about time we got a penalty , we certainly didn't get a lot last season (I can't remember any)
Surprised you didn't mention the obvious penalty for a push in the back on Estupinan in the first
half or did you miss that one ?

I actually feel it’s more to do with Seri’s class first touch that gave him enough time to get the shot away. I know it goes without saying but he’s going to be a huge player for us this season.

I’m surprised you have tears left after Wembley Way.

Can't beat an opening win and the opposition whinging simply sweetens the day. Opening game, down and have to get back, then win it. Enjoy. Better teams than Bristol City to come, but we've been there.
