Some proper bitterness the win was fully deserved, we were in full control of the game start to finish and created enough decent chances to win the game in style 10 times over. We didn’t take any of them and won off the back of a deflection and a debatable pen. That’s football! If it wasn’t for atrocious disorganised defending of the set piece they scored from would they have had a shot on target all game? Can’t think of them troubling our goal at all.

Absolutely agree. Stonewall pen and the ref had already denied us two. As you say, he tried to stay on his feet but went down in pain after being kicked.

Buzzing like a fridge. What a fantastic Saturday to be back at City, god I’ve missed that! Outstanding atmosphere, crowd really played our part. I voted for City win, more a heart vote than expectation.

Tbh, first half I feared the worst, we looked like a group of misfits, Bristol cutting through us at ease. Thought we missed the Honeymonster who would have broken up their play, and Tufan just a passenger first half. Second half, tale of two halves! We were on a mission, took control against the time wasting, whingeing tossers. They had enough rolls to make a buffet. Martin was in the refs ear all match. Tufan had a few magic moments, deserved a goal for cracking the post, few good tackles, and the pressure penalty, made to wait an eternity. What a penalty, despite their keeper’s time wasting.

Well deserved win, 3 points, a great winning goal, maybe a bit flukey, but well deserved, mouth watering to think when some of these players are fit & up to speed what we’ll see.

Edit, must pass credit to Ingram for fab save very early first half.

Can’t stand Nigel Pearson. Really loathsome individual.

He must have been caught for the penalty , as if he wasn’t he was risking looking a right clown falling over like that , so definite pen.

Agreed. From a Championship team to League 1 on that display :D

First month is random though, so good luck for the rest of the season. It was definitely a penalty though. I'd like to see the push in the box on our player in the first half again too.

Great to walk away after such a good ending, crowd stuck behind the team and it was great to see so many singing after the final whistle. Seri always made himself available for the ball and was so often the outlet, Tufan had some nice touches and I think he will have a good shot on him. Overall lots of improvement needed but great for everyone for the team to come back and win it.

Are you? Have you brought in 8 new players, mostly from another country?

Just watched the replays. Definite penalty, but why didn't he go for a header in the first place? Maybe he was off balance?

Thought we looked 10 times better going forward today than we did at any point last season. And that's before we "gel". Onwards and upwards

Both our teams will have good luck and bad luck over the course of the season,it's how it rolls for us all. Some times you just have to take your medicine and walk away...

For what it's worth,I didn't have a problem with Nigel Pearson when he was with us and he'll endeavour to build a decent side for you:emoticon-0148-yes:

Thoroughly enjoyed that performance today especially 2nd half. Thought they shaded the first 45 and probably deserved the lead but whatever Shota said in the dressing room at half time it worked a treat. Came out wanting the ball and whilst the penalty decision went our way we actually grew stronger and in the end fully deserved the three points. Early days I know but overall a cultured and at times a quality performance today in front of a decent crowd all gagging for success.

I quite liked Craig Shakespear and Steve Walsh. Nigel, not so much.

Also thought Shota’s subs were spot on. Docherty in particular with his energy and high pressing allowed us to get on the front foot more.
