How the **** can you make a prediction without a single minute of league football having been played?
I'm not sitting on the fence, I'm saying I'd prefer to give it 10 games.
Because that is the question ! I'm not asking you to tell me if it's gonna happen , simply to put in a selection. Obviously no one has foresight, but you won't get shot for getting it wrong lol. Its a bit of fun surely ? Have you dug out the mole who's got us to be relegated yet ?

Err...yeah.
Do you know how the new coach will set us up; who'll play where; whether he'll get more out of certain players than Warburton did etc etc?
Yes it will be 4-3-3. Unless he's deployed a cunning way to make us look complete chumps after playing that formation in every pre season game !

I hope for 7-12 or better, but went one rung lower. I think Beale needs a couple of seasons and I’m concerned that we don’t have a decent enough goal scorer at the moment.

THIS!

.....but l went for 7-12. Our new Manager & players may need to ............. gel.

Can we have a guess at who voted we'd get relegated?

I'm happy to own up to that Col. I'll be even happier if I can change it upwards! But I agree it's impossible to predict before the window closes and after then to a large extent too because of the possibility of long injuries to key players, as happened last season.

We finished last season on a bad run. We have ditched a mostly successful, experienced Manager for one who has no actual Management experience. We have ditched 10 players this summer according to what I read, and to date have only brought in 4 that I remember. As Hammersmith correctly imo keeps banging on about, we are still short of quality at RWB/RB and Striker, plus we need better back up to Paal at LB. If we are going to go 3 at the back which may be inevitable if we keep giving away goals as we've done with the 4 in these pre-season games, we'll probably need another back-up CB, especially if Masterson and Gubbins go on loan again. We ditched both Barbet and De Vijs and have only brought in Clarke-Salter there. We may also need better cover at DCM now Ball has also gone. And all this to correct on probably best to no Budget...Judging by Beale's latest comment we need to let go 6 or 7 who were in the squad for Palace, in order to bring players in at the positions we most need. Also, we are at risk of losing key players like worst of all Willock late in this window with no time to replace him before January. The positive is seemingly we have strengthened our attacking midfield options by bringing in Roberts and Richards, hooray.

Sadly, not as optimistic as last season. I think some of the out-goings will hurt us as key areas of striker, left & right backs, defensive midfield all remain a concern.

I therefore, voted 13-21, of course I am hoping nearer to 13 than 21 or even better, being proved completely wrong and we finish in top six.

It does feel like we have strengthened in the one place we didn’t need to.
We need a right back and a 20 goal striker, without them we will struggle in a division that’s more competitive every season.

And a decent left back as back up to Paal. I'm having nightmares thinking about the Finn playing there !

I was quite positive until I saw us in our pre season games. We are seriously undercooked but I look forward to being proved wrong.
In the meantime I am a bona fide member of the Hammersithbookieweareshit club

I was ultra positive when he was appointed with the proviso that the board backed him in the transfer market. They have , so far to the tune of £0. It doesn't look like we're gonna spend a single penny this window. The Mcnamara deal is clearly not gonna happen so it will be right back on loan possibly the Chelsea youngster now and any strikers look like they'll be sub standard ones or another loan although I doubt it will be Archer. Beale is gonna have to be very very good to alleviate worries, and I sincerely hope he is and that some of the players we have surpass all expectations !

Troy Parrott gone to Preston on loan.......

Another one crossed off the list..........
