Probably. It’s the one constant we’ve had as a club over the years. I think I’ll leave it there for the whinging this evening, getting bored of myself
All this talk about attacking football and Garnerball- when push comes to shove I'd take an ugly 1-0 win over an exciting 4-3 loss. Our record against Stanley is poor, and anything would be welcome. Getting through it without Innis and CB-T breaking down would be a bonus, and it's looking like Stockley will be playing 90 minutes of every game.
Very quiet across the forums today considering the season kicks off today - is it because of how bad last season was ?
It won’t be hard for Accrington to keep our one established striker quiet today , we might Knick a couples of goals from our new midfield who knows? but I feel a draw is the best we can hope for
Accrington have their own problems with injuries. Probably be a cagey affair, but I'd take a bit of luck and a 1-0 win right now.
Stats for 70 minutes show Accrington are making many more chances now... Shots on, shots off, corners - all showing domination by the home team.
NOOOO!!! 2-2 Couldn't hold a lead for one minute TWICE ahead and we couldn't win. Two points dropped against a team we should be beating if we want to go up. I know we shouldn't read much into an opening day result. But this feels like a defeat.
Carl would have been proud of Miles's goal. Great leap, did the CB all ends up. Really good run by Fraser for the first goal, coolly taken too. O'Connell looked a bit suspect for their goals, and the goals are all I've seen.
Great debut for Miles Leaburn Apparently the idiotic opinion has been expressed in some strange quarters that it's a bad thing Leaburn scored, as his success supposedly makes the signing of another striker less likely Any Charlton fan who regrets that Leaburn goal needs his miserable, cynical head seriously examined. Such sour nonsense has no place among genuine fans.
